Time-of-Click: URL checking settings

Vade Cloud™ provides a feature to protect users against visiting phishing sites. To enable and configure the Time-of-Click feature, navigate to Clients > Details > Administration > Inbound > Time-of-Click.

You may configure the Time-of-Click feature to protect the users against visiting phishing sites through URLs included in the emails they receive.

Link rewriting

Enable Time-of-Click: Time-of-Click rewrites all URLs found in the messages to point to the Vade infrastructure so that they can be analyzed in real time to check for phishing sites.; Note: Only emails that are DKIM-signed or sent by a whitelisted expeditor will remain unchanged.
Rewrite URLs on DKIM signed emails: Protect your users from phishing attempts sent in DKIM signed emails. This option does not bypass your whitelists.
Note: Only activate this feature if you deactivated the DKIM protection on all your SMTP server receiving email flow from Vade Cloud™.
Time out: Set the maximum allowed time for the URL analysis to complete. In case the analysis takes more than this, the user is redirected to the original target address.
URL prefix customization: A prefix is added to all rewritten URLs when opening the link. You can customize the prefix (antiphishing.vadesecure.com by default), to point to an address within your network and domain for users to feel more confident about the link. This implies advanced modification on your network, such as creating a new sub-domain, altering routing, etc.

Alerts

Enable alerts

Activate so that the administrator receives alert notifications whenever a user clicked on a phishing link. The notification email reports whether:

the user eventually visited the phishing site in spite of the alert,
the user clicked the link but followed the alert and did not visit the phishing site.

Send alerts to email address

Type in the email address of the administrator who will receive the phishing alerts.

Page customization

Whenever a user clicks a link rewritten by Time-of-Click, they land on a series of web pages, (pending page while Vade backend explores and analyzes the target web page, loading page, and phishing alert page). You may use the following fields to customize the look and feel of these pages:

Header customization: Type in HTML code which will be prepended to the page as a new header.
Footer customization: Type in HTML code which will be appended to the page as a new footer.

Important: Click Save at the bottom of the page and then Apply modifications at the top right of the page to save your new settings.
