Inbound filtering

This page allows you to configure the desired filtering policy for inbound traffic.

Go to Clients > Details > Domains > Details > Filtering and define what action Vade Cloud™ should take for each spam category and non-delivery reports.

Tip: For maximum filtering efficiency, Vade recommends using the default settings.

Actions on identified messages

Route
Identified graymails will be delivered to the mailbox of the user.
Tag
This action adds a custom prefix to the identified graymails before delivering them to the mailbox of the user.
Quarantine (default)
Identified graymails will be retained by the platform in the users' quarantine (or global inbound quarantine if user accounts are disabled).
Drop
Identified graymails are deleted by the platform, after they have successfully completed the SMTP transaction with the sender, so that the sender does not know that the message has been deleted.
Warning: Vade does not recommend using this option for graymail, as some users may wish to read some of the graymail content.
Reject
Identified graymails are rejected by the platform at the time the SMTP client sends the email, so that the sender knows that the message is rejected.
Warning: Vade does not recommend using this option for graymail, as some users may wish to read some of the graymail content.
