How to read the detailed logs?
Detailed logs for filtering allow you to trace messages from end to end, e.g. from the platform receiving them to delivering them to the downstream server. Under the > icon to see the detailed logs.
page, click theThe first lines show the beginning of the process, and allow you to check which server presented the message to Vade Cloud™. Every line starts with a timestamp, providing a way to check processing time.
Information displayed in the detailed logs under
are raw log data, and require a good technical understanding of SMTP.You may find the classification that was performed by the Vade filter for instance (status and score), as well as the spamcause (encrypted in most cases).
Additionally, you will find all the filtering exceptions triggered by the platform upon processing the message, such as white or black lists match, file extension restrictions, or anti spear-phishing detection.
The most frequently requested information are the senders' email addresses (FROM), IP addresses, and the downstream server responses (which usually contain a self-explanatory response).
